Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how Kandil ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our mobile application. This app was previously published as "Ramadan AI: Noor" — same developer, same app, same data practices, new name.

This app is NOT affiliated with Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı (Turkish Religious Affairs). It only references publicly available Diyanet prayer time calculation methodology.

Data Collection & Usage

A. AI Assistant (Noor, powered by Google Gemini) Kandil uses Google Gemini API to power Noor, the in-app spiritual guide. To generate responses, the following data may be processed:

Your Name: To address you personally (optional).
Chat Content: The messages you type to receive guidance.

Important: Noor's responses are generated by Google Gemini and are NOT religious rulings (fatwa). For binding religious rulings, users are directed to Diyanet Alo Fatwa Hattı (190).

B. Location Data Your location data (coarse or precise based on your device settings) is used locally on your device to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. This data:

Is processed locally on your device
Is NOT stored on our servers
Is NOT shared with third parties

C. Subscription & Purchase Data We collect Purchase History and Device Identifiers (Device ID) to manage your Premium status and prevent fraud. This is processed via RevenueCat (revenuecat.com).

How We Use Your Data

Personalization: To generate context-aware AI responses from Noor.
Functionality: To provide accurate prayer timings, Qibla direction, and Hijri calendar for your location.
Subscription Management: To verify and maintain your Premium subscription status.
No Storage: We do not store your chat history, AI conversations, or precise location on our external servers.
